With VR Lively one can now start his own virtual reality channel to stream true 3D videos in real time and the viewer can virtually teleport into the video using Oculus, HTC VIVE, Gear VR or even an Android smartphone with Google Cardboard.

You can use it for official virtual reality video conferencing or fun activities like sports and parties.

Presenter receives the audio from the viewer. While viewer gets both real-time audio and video in VR headset, viewer interacts with presenter through audio. However, if users will feel that they need video from viewer side then we will add this feature.

VR Lively is the only REAL-TIME virtual reality video channel streaming and viewing platform that is secure and private. VR Lively can stream VR video channels using stereoscopic cameras giving a real feel of depth sense making it true 3D.

Be together,2 way interactive, real-time, video calling/showing personalized experience in virtual reality. If there are other such service providers then we will be glad to know about them. As of now, it seems that we are the world's first such service providers.

VR Lively works with all head mounted devices like Oculus, Samsung Gear VR, HTC VIVE, and even on Google Cardboard.

VR Lively works with any and every camera. For better experience use a 360° or 180° cameras. It works well with Ricoh Theta S, ZED camera, and all other custom stereoscopic camera models. The camera should only be universal video class (UVC) compatible. In simpler words it can be connected to internet through USB.

Stereoscopic camera

Stereoscopic 3D can add another level of immersion by adding depth data between the foreground and background. Your favorite 3D blockbuster films are typically shot with 2 lenses side by side, to give you a feeling of a different vantage point per eye. Like any production, this can look strange if poorly implemented, or absolutely amazing if done right.

360° Camera

A standard 360 video is just a flat equirectangular video displayed on a sphere. Think of it like the face of a world map on a globe, but with VR your head is on the inside of the globe looking at the inner surface. As you move, the head tracking on your device moves with you, giving you that feeling like you are at the scene.

Yes, the stereoscopic camera provides a true 3D VR experience. With a stereoscopic camera, VR Lively sends left camera stream to the left eye and right camera stream to the right eye and emulates the way we human see the world.

Yes. With VR Lively you can start a live VR video channel with any camera that you usually use. Just ask for a demo here. We will revert ASAP.

We have created a 3D stereoscopic camera and currently this camera is very experimental however if you want to try it please mail us and we may sell you one of the early stage versions. However, there are other companies from where you can buy a stereoscopic 180° camera or a 360° camera.

Some 360° cameras provide an equirectangular output, and it is best to format for VR content. In the case of the stereoscopic camera, VR Lively app itself creates equirectangular output by de-fishing the camera output. In a case where camera manufacturer by defaults provide the equirectangular output then it is better to use that ( stitching effects will be minimal). For example, Ricoh Theta provides the equirectangular output with the help of theta UVC blender.

In case if you are using the normal webcam or mobile camera for streamer then uncheck this setting.

The 180° stereoscopic camera requires 2 cameras and provides 2 outputs for left and right camera hence presenter needs to select 2 cameras instead of one.

Instead of stereoscopic, you should select the 360° option at streamer interface. The app will split its output for left and right eye.

Works well at 8MBPS upload and download stream or more. However, the app works with lower bandwidth but video quality will be degraded and you may not get the best experience.

Greatly. It solves these problems.

(i) Remote participant sees everyone and instead of focusing on camera during video conference, participant feels to be present in the same room with other people.

(ii) Move around, use whiteboards or explain the physical goods and products with a real-time 3D view.

(iii) In this whole scenario focus will remain on the topic, not on the camera.
